Snack boxes originated from the Jing dynasty(220-581 A.D). In Ming dynasty(1368-1644 AD), it was called “Quan” boxes, meaning ‘completion’ and “together”. “Quan boxes” that carried snacks and candies became widely used for festive or celebrative occasions, meaning “perfection” and “completion”.
